A great looking patio doesn’t need to be all that elaborate in order to offer you and your guests an elegant, outdoor oasis. It just needs to look clean! But that can be hard to keep up with after weeks, months and years of neglect.
Most surfaces can be power-washed to bring them back to life, but if you want that shiny new look to remain for more than a few hours, then you will need re-grout, re-seal, and re-finish those surfaces, and that’s where we come in to offer a full patio restoration.
Fortunately in Southern California, we don’t have to deal too much with snow or ice upsetting pavers and concrete, or algae and moss discoloring tiles, but we do have other elements like desert sun, heat and year-round wear and tear that can dull, bleach and damage surfaces. Add chlorinated pool water to that equation and you can get some scaling and calcifying effects too.
Here are a few tips to keep your patio looking stylish in between sealing or full restorations:
- Sweep away debris
- Pull weeds growing in between pavers / surfaces
- Rinse/mop away pool water (if applicable)
- Keep surfaces shaded when possible
- Use outdoor sisel mats and runners in high traffic areas
- Mop or scrub away stains and oils with a soapy solution
DIY sealants can be purchased from local home/hardware stores. These should be applied every 1-2 years. Call us if you have any questions about your specific surfaces.
